Our tip for fine wine connoisseurs: in neighbouring Remich, you can experience a mysterious place full of tradition – the Caves St. Martin with its impressive vaulted cellar, fine wines and exquisite Crémant.
In 1919, Eugène Koch, Jean Faber, Eugène Knepper, J.P. Hartmann, Pierre Wurth, Jean Beissel and Mathias Ley founded Caves St. Martin. The subterranean corridors were completed in 1921, which were carved into the huge limestone massif over a total length of almost one kilometre. For industry experts, there is still no better place for wine making and bottling. Visitors can see for themselves while taking a guided tour of the impressive vaulted cellars.
