The most beautiful way to explore the idyllic Bostalsee is by foot. The 6.8 kilometre-long circuitous route leads around the popular leisure lake, which also reveals many cultural treasures. Starting point for the hiking tour is the central tourist information office or the lake administration office, from where the hike takes you past the Bosen bathing beach and a large beer garden.
The next stop is Bosener Mühle, an art centre housed in a former grain mill, where various courses are offered annually - for example, watercolours and oil painting, ceramics or stone sculpting. Continue on to the next beach at Gonnesweiler, which not only offers the opportunity to swim, but which is also a wonderful place for surfing or diving. The penultimate stop before you return to the starting point is Neunkirchen/Nahe. You will encounter two sculptures here which are part of the sculpture route between St. Wendel and Bostalsee.
