Sustainability
Sustainability at Victor's
We are hosts and employers with our hearts and souls. As hosts and employers, we have a heightened sense of responsibility for what we do and don’t do every day – and for the consequences of our actions and inactions. In light of climate change, we know that we must treat our planet with great care. That's why we are on an ambitious, future-proof mission for greater sustainability. A mission for a better world.
At Victor's Residenz-Hotels, we are aware of our responsibility towards the environment. We see ourselves as part of a larger whole, our choices have consequences that impact the world around us, requiring a holistic approach to action. In this sense, it is essential to examine and optimise all activities in all areas of enterprise – economically and, above all, ecologically. A major task we can only accomplish together.
As a family business, we know only too well what we are capable of when we stick together and act in concert for the right cause. That's why we invite the entire Victor's family, including our esteemed guests, to join us on our sustainability mission – and become a part of it.

Certified – in green and white.
We are delighted that all 14 Victor's Residenz-Hotels have been awarded the GreenSign Sustainability Seal by InfraCert, the Institute for Sustainable Development, thus confirming that we have a professional, experienced partner at our side. But we are still a long way off from reaching our goal, which is why we are constantly reviewing all our locations to determine where we can make further improvements for the sake of the environment.

More commitment. Less consumption.
At all our hotels, we regularly review the respective energy supply and consumption on site with regard to cost-effectiveness, but also with regard to sustainability. We take a close look at which energy sources we use and how – and, wherever possible, we rely on natural, renewable resources.
Water on? Hold on!
Fossil fuels are not the only finite resource – we also need to use our precious water sparingly. Consequently, we have reduced our water consumption to a minimum. Of course, all guest rooms are meticulously cleaned after every departure and at regular intervals during longer stays. During our daily room checks, however, we avoid the use of water, energy, and cleaning products wherever possible.
Separate, but together.
We avoid wasting resources and food as much as possible. Printing emails? Only when there is no digital alternative. Throwing away food? Only for hygiene reasons. And every time something does have to go in the bin, please make sure it’s the right one: we are committed to recycling and instruct our employees to properly separate waste.
Head, heart and hand.
Victor's also takes on social responsibility, supporting sports, culture, and charitable projects. One such project that is very dear to our hearts is “KiO”, a children's organ transplant association. Since 2004, Victor’s has been a strong partner by their side, supporting KiO regularly with donations and charity events.
And, of course, we also have a huge heart for the people who, next to our esteemed guests, are the most important people of all: our employees! Only together can we successfully accomplish our sustainability mission – a goal which requires courage, solidarity, conviction, and motivation.

Effective and efficient!
Naturally, a sustainable corporate philosophy must include sustainable business practices. That's why we continuously optimise our business processes – from the selection of the products we purchase, via the delivery routes they take, to the partners we work with. We also improve our performance through investments in renovations, refurbishments, and technical innovations – both to reduce costs in the long term and to satisfy our esteemed guests, so they are always happy to return.
